Chapelhill John Deere 6155r hits £95,000
Border Livestock Exchange were delighted to have been favoured to conduct the online farm sale on behalf of G B Cockburn & Sons, Chapelhill Farm, Cockburnspath including reductions from Keirsbeath Farm Ltd, Fife, W J M Dagg, Craighouse, Melrose & Yester Estate, Gifford, Haddington together with the July Collective General Machinery Sale.
All lots were keenly bid for from far and wide. The machinery and equipment was extremely well presented and maintained, prices were the dearest trade experienced for some time, with a 100% clearance from the farm sale and an impressive 89% from the collective sale. A total of 80 vendors enjoyed a fantastic days trading supported by 181 winning bidders.
The star of the sale was the Chapelhill John Deere 6155r 72 reg tractor which sold for an impressive £95,000. Also hitting the mark was a John Deere 9560i WTS Hillmaster combine reaching £34,900. Followed by the popular John Deere 6820 tractor selling for a fantastic £22,600. Other leading prices from Chapelhill, Sulky Drill £9,100; Sumo Trio Subsoiler £8,700; KV 5 Furrow Rev Plough £7,000; Richard Western 12t Bulk Trailer £4,200; Rau Trailed Sprayer £3,900.
Top prices from the Reductions & Collective Sale were a Case Maxxum 150 Tractor which sold for a brilliant £40,000. Next was a Opico Grain Dryer which was bid to £32,000, Bunning Lowlander 75 Muck Spreader for £18,500 closely followed by the JD V451R Round Baler at £15,100
